Background: A native to west Tennessee, Nathan grew up on a small farm alongside his brothers, sisters, and cousins in Gibson County. It was amidst the rural landscapes of his upbringing that Nathan's foundation of integrity, hard work, and compassion was laid. Following his graduation from Milan High School, Nathan pursued his academic endeavors, earning a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he distinguished himself by graduating cum laude. He immersed himself in the realm of criminal justice, working tirelessly for many years in Community Corrections programs across Obion and Davidson Counties. In these roles, Nathan served as a probation officer, supervising felony offenders on community-based release. Driven by a deep-seated desire to make a difference, Nathan's experiences as a probation officer fueled his passion for the law and he obtained his Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law to take a more active role in advocating for justice and empowering those in need of legal representation.

Nathan’s “Why”: Inspired by his experiences in community corrections programs across Obion and Davidson Counties, Nathan's journey into the legal profession was deeply influenced. Witnessing firsthand the challenges individuals face within the legal system, as well as the transformative impact of compassionate guidance and advocacy, ignited his passion for the law. This drive led him to pursue a legal education while balancing the responsibilities of work and family.
