The award, previously called the Social Security Disability Leadership, 2023 Top 100 award, is given to people and organizations that demonstrate a high regard for Social Security Disability Recognition. 

Each year, the awards are given by its namesake; the Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives of the Disabled (ACRD). The organization brings together representatives of the disabled to provide training, foster leadership skills, promote accessible technology proficiency and allow others that support the disabled to have networking opportunities.

Smith said the award is a testament to the hard work he and his team put in every day for their clients who need help appealing their denied disability claim.
