    Biography

Based in Knoxville, Guy Tustin brings a client-centered approach to every case, combining strong advocacy with compassion and a deep commitment to justice. He represents clients in a variety of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and workplace injuries.

Guy earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as a student attorney in the Legal Clinic, successfully representing clients in housing and juvenile matters. During law school, he argued before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, contributed to research on legal access in minority communities, and worked as a research assistant developing unemployment insurance curriculum during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After law school, Guy clerked for a federal judge, gaining valuable insight into judicial processes and refining his skills in legal research, drafting, and analysis. He later joined a national law firm, where he handled a wide range of litigation matters, including insurance defense, employment disputes, breach of contract, and personal injury cases.

As an Assistant Public Defender, Guy represented clients charged with misdemeanors and DUIs, advocating vigorously in bond and preliminary hearings and ensuring that each client’s legal and personal needs were addressed holistically.

Throughout his career, Guy has remained deeply committed to fairness, equity, and access to justice. His diverse experience in both public service and private practice reflects his belief that the law should serve as both a shield and a tool for positive change.

Outside the office, Guy enjoys spending time with his cat, Biscuit, and hiking. He has explored more than 200 miles of trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, finding inspiration in the beauty and resilience of nature that mirrors his approach to life and law.
