    Biography

    Based in Knoxville, Anna Rickels is an associate attorney in the pre-litigation department at Wettermark Keith, where she helps injured clients pursue fair and efficient resolutions to their claims. She brings to her work a deep understanding of the law and a passion for client advocacy shaped by years of teaching and courtroom experience.

    Before joining Wettermark Keith, Anna spent more than four years as an Assistant Professor of Law at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, where she taught bar preparation, academic success, and legal writing courses. Her time in academia strengthened her analytical and communication skills and deepened her commitment to mentoring future lawyers.

    Earlier in her career, Anna practiced criminal defense with Oberman & Rice, a respected downtown Knoxville firm. She also represented clients in elder law matters at Tennessee Elder Law LLC and began her legal career as a law clerk at Oberman & Rice, assisting with research, drafting, and trial preparation.

    A Knoxville native, Anna earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law after completing her bachelor’s degree at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. Her combination of practical experience and academic insight allows her to approach each case with both precision and compassion, helping clients navigate the legal process with confidence.
