The yearly school supply scramble can be difficult for working families who are already busy trying to do a thousand other things to get their kids ready for school. To help out with this hectic time, Wettermark Keith has partnered with Wylam Elementary and Bush Hills STEAM Academy for our inaugural School Supply Giveaway to bring essential school supplies to local children in the community. We want to do our part to make the back to school rush a little easier on all of the families in our Birmingham community.
Wettermark Keith will be at Wylam Elementary to give away 1,000 school supply boxes and clear drawstring backpacks to families in need. The supplies will be handed out at their campus located at 701 Erie Street to every child present. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., or while supplies last*, on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
How Does it work?
Parents can bring their children through the pickup lane at Wylam to receive their box and clear drawstring backpack. These supplies are ideal for students in Kindergarten through fifth-grade. Each one contains 32 essential school supplies including pencils, erasers, a pencil box, folders and more. There are no limits per family or car, so long as the child who will be receiving the box is present. If you are not able to bring your child, they will still be given a box if accompanied by a family member or guardian.
