Intro: George Haburey IV joined Wettermark Keith in early 2023 to serve clients as a personal injury attorney in our Veteran Affairs department. Highly skilled in both criminal and civil law, George is dedicated to providing excellent legal representation to injured clients. With a proven track record of success across various legal disciplines, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our firm.
Background: George has always maintained an interest in law. Born and raised in Skipperville, Alabama, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Troy University in 2018. Following his aptitude and passion for the legal field, George moved to Montgomery and attended Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2021. During law school, George clerked for The Cleveland Firm in Prattville, Alabama, where he assisted with a wide range of practice areas, including civil litigation.
After graduating and passing the Alabama bar, George worked as a prosecutor for the District Attorney at the 19th Judicial Circuit of the Elmore, Autauga, and Chilton Counties, handling the district, traffic, juvenile, and circuit criminal dockets. At the DA’s office, he spent a great deal of time in the courtroom, either trying cases or conducting hearings. Before his employment with Wettermark Keith, George worked with Signature Title Services in Birmingham, where he performed real estate closings and drafted legal documents.
George's “Why”: George has always held our veterans in deep admiration and respect. In his words, “I believe it is a privilege to help serve the Veterans who selflessly served our country. Because of their and their families' sacrifice, we get to enjoy the freedoms they fought to protect.” George takes great pride in helping individuals like this receive the benefits they’re entitled to.
